RICARDO   SILVEIRA

“When I was at Polygram, I met Ricardinho and I realized that he was a guitarist who did something easy to hear, with higher quality. We weren't doing things like that, instrumental, but it made me want to have it in the cast right away.

The recordings of Bom de Tocar went easily, Ricardo with darn good taste and this record was very remarkable. I feel happy to have participated in this kickoff and then to see it playing all over the world!

Talking about Ricardo Silveira is a very easy thing for me, because in addition to being a great friend for many years, he plays extremely well, always has a special sensitivity in arrangements, execution, improvisations and accompaniment.

After I came to the United States, we met many times and did some shows with two guitars and it was always great to be with him, with great joy!

Ricardo Silveira is one of the main voices of the Brazilian guitar.

With a peculiar and sophisticated language, he shows a lot of personality in his compositions and present performances in his authorial discography released between Brazil and the USA in studio recordings and live.

Its refined touch can be heard in hundreds of recordings and shows next door of great Brazilian artists like João Bosco, Milton Nascimento, Ivan Lins, Elis Regina, Gilberto Gil, João Donato,

Luís Melodia, Emílio Santiago, Hermeto Paschoal, Ney Matogrosso, Márcio Montarroyos, etc.

In his international career, in addition to the works launched in the phonographic market, he worked with Herbie Mann, played and recorded with several musicians from the world instrumental scene such as Hubert Laws, Randy Brecker, Pat Metheny, Waune Shorter, Don and Dave Grusin, John Patitucci, Lionel  Hampton, Jason Miles, L. Shankar, among others.

He has an authorial work with more than 20 releases and a Grammy Awards nomination.

He currently shares his shows and recordings with the production of online courses, classes and educational projects.

Oh my goodness - I'm only ten minutes into it and it's just gorgeous!

Great sounds, great songs, and beautiful playing... so great to hear you play.

That's a beautiful collection of songs, and it's not easy to keep it compelling with just a guitar for that long but you certainly did it! Very beautiful.

With its release in April 2021, "Fluência no Improviso" brings all the experience and Ricardo's thinking about improvisation, who prepared a material thinking about things that help him to connect

ideas and articulate the wording.

A Chord Melody course is also in production, aimed at those who wish to improve their guitar accompaniment and start building their own solo arrangements.
